I think each gin has its own beauty, uniqueness, story and characteristics which usually make them pleasant to work with. Everyone knows a couple of special gins, from duty shops to the interesting shelves of the high-class bars. I like to serve something really rare, really unique, treasures of the genre gin for the pure joyment of the tasting and exploring something new, something different.
What are your most special gins at Baraka?
We are just about to extend our gin sortiment for the upcoming spring-summer season to make it harder to choose to our loved guests. Just kidding. To explore more and more. We’ll have very nice, premium artisan gins from New Zealand, Scotland, Belgium, and Portugal. They are so amazing I couldn’t be more excited. Nowadays, our number one star, the most popular gin at Baraka is an exceptional sloe gin from Germany, named Elephant Sloe Gin. Who haven’t tried it before, believe me, definitely should…
With or without tonic? How do you drink it?
With tonic! I think it gets the drink into a totally new dimension.. the possibilities are endless, you could flavour your drink with unusual, mouth-watering botanicals, fruits and vegetables to get an extra special taste and experience…. Let’s just try it!
